Job summary

Anderson Clark in Buntingford, Hertfordshire, is seeking an Accounts Receivable professional to own the AR function within a growing, international group. This full-time, office-based role keeps cash flowing and maintains strong client relationships.

You’ll work across departments, spot trends in the numbers, resolve billing queries, and support budgeting and financial reporting while ensuring regulatory compliance. On-site parking is provided.

Qualifications

• Approximately 3 years' UK experience in a similar Accounts Receivable role within a medium to large organisation.
• Experience working across multiple countries is beneficial but not essential.
• Strong analytical skills with a sharp eye for detail.
• Able to work from the Buntingford office full time.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and hit deadlines.
• Construction industry experience is a bonus, not essential.
• Proactive problem solver who can work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to drive to Buntingford.

Responsibilities

• Generating and issuing client invoices in a timely manner.
• Monitoring and accurately recording incoming payments.
• Reconciling AR balances and chasing down discrepancies.
• Managing client communications around outstanding invoices and payment terms.
• Producing regular AR status and ageing reports.
• Following up on overdue accounts with sensible collection strategies.
• Keeping receivable records accurate and up to date.
• Working closely with the wider finance team on day-to-day operations.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Building strong relationships with suppliers, contractors and stakeholders.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
