About the role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. In this key role, you’ll manage the sales ledger, process customer invoices and payments, and help maintain accurate financial records to support healthy cash flow.

What You’ll Do

• Issue customer invoices per agreed terms, verifying accuracy against sales documents.
• Record and allocate payments promptly, resolving any unmatched or unidentified transactions.
• Reconcile customer accounts regularly, investigating discrepancies to maintain accurate balances.
• Post Sales Day Book entries, ensuring timely and accurate ledger updates.
• Monitor aged debt, follow up on overdue payments, and escalate persistent issues to Treasury/Cash Manager.
• Maintain AR reports (e.g., aged receivables, cash summaries) in line with audit and regulatory standards.
• Set up new customer accounts with credit checks per company policy.
• Track geopolitical/economic risks via aviation platforms, taking action on sales or credit holds as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in Accounts Receivable, Sales Ledger, or similar finance role.
• Finance qualification (AAT Level 2 or 3) preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting software’s preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Confident using Microsoft Excel.
• Proactive and solutions-focused mindset
