Overview

Are you detail-driven, organised, and passionate about getting the numbers right? Sheridan Maine are assisting our client to recruit for a Accounts Receivable Assistant to join their busy Income Accounting team on a part-time basis, working 22.5 hours per week. In this role, you’ll help keep their finance systems running smoothly, from posting income and raising invoices to supporting credit control and reconciling accounts.


What you’ll be doing


  • Post and reconcile income, ensuring everything is allocated correctly

  • Raise sale ledger invoices, issue reminders, and support credit control activity, chasing outstanding debt where necessary

  • Liaise with customers to resolve billing queries

  • Reconcile accounts and investigate unposted or queried items

  • Manage admissions, terminations, and account changes in our systems

  • Handle incoming calls & emails


What we’re looking for


  • Previous Accounts Receivable / Sales Ledger / Accounting experience

  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset

  • Strong communicator with a genuine focus on great customer service

  • Confident with Excel

  • Organised, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities
