Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail‑oriented Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our dedicated Finance team. Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager, you will be an integral part of our operations, collaborating with colleagues across the group, external agencies, and parents. Ensure timely processing of invoices for parents of children attending our nurseries.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and resolve queries promptly in collaboration with nursery staff.
  • Support nurseries with funding applications and claims submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Process daily parent receipts using our nursery management software.
  • Regularly review parent debtor accounts and liaise with nursery managers to collect outstanding payments.
  • Maintain accurate data in accordance with GDPR guidance.
  • Assist the Accounts Receivable Manager with ad‑hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (intermediate/advanced level with VLOOKUPs & Pivot tables preferred).
  • Experience with nursery management software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with invoicing and debt collection processes.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to maintain positive relationships.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills and a commitment to learning.

This hybrid role involves working three days at our Kettering office and two days home‑based. Competitive salary £25,592.16 – £26,828.80 per annum.
