Job summary

A higher education institution in London is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor on a temporary-to-permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial transaction processing and line management of Finance Officers. • Assist in reviewing, improving, and establishing new team processes.
• Provide line management and support to two Finance Officers.

We’re working with a specialist Higher Education institution in London to recruit an Accounts Payable Supervisor on a temporary-to-permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all financial transaction processing is completed accurately, promptly, and in full, while maintaining effective and efficient supporting systems and processes.

Your duties will include:

• Process supplier invoices, including scanning, registering, and matching them to purchase orders and goods receipts
• Approve the weekly supplier payment run
• Handle and resolve supplier queries in a timely manner
• Manage supplier account setups
• Process expenses
• Assist in reviewing, improving, and establishing new team processes
• Provide line management and support to two Finance Officers.

Candidate profile:

• Proven experience in Accounts Payable
• Practical experience using Unit4 Business World (formerly Agresso) - Essential
• Experience supervising staff or working as a Senior Accounts Payable Officer
• Experience in the higher education sector is highly desirable

Daily rate: £150 - £170

Contract type: interim, full-time

Contract length: 2 months to permanent

Location: London (hybrid working – 3 days in office)
