Job summary

BDO UK is seeking an organized Accounts Payable specialist to join the Finance Services team. You will process supplier payments, reconcile bank transactions, and ensure accuracy of settlement runs while supporting OCR invoice processing and VAT compliance in the UK.

The role emphasizes collaboration with senior managers and a proactive approach to improving delivery of services to clients, within a flexible, agile working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable and reconciliation environments.
• Familiar with handling foreign payments and VAT in the UK.
• Ability to learn HMRC requirements related to VAT and UK banking processes.
• Experience in professional services or partnerships is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly settlement runs and supplier payments.
• Reconcile payments to bank and monitor payment statuses.
• Review supplier invoices for accuracy and terms.
• Assist with OCR invoice processing for P2P team.
• Respond to payment queries and maintain clear documentation.
