Job summary

Azenta Life Sciences is hiring an Accounting Administrator on site in Irlam, Manchester. You will manage accounts payable and receivable, input invoices, schedule payments, and liaise with suppliers and customers to keep the books clean.

You will support month-end processes and assist with reporting within a busy finance team. The role requires organized, detail-oriented individuals who communicate well with staff at all levels, including directors, and who can work independently within a team.

Qualifications

• Proven background in a Finance Administration role covering AP and AR.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and full proficiency across Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Oracle is an advantage.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounts payable and/or accounts receivable activities.
• Enter invoices and purchase orders into financial systems and obtain internal approval.
• Verify invoice accuracy and schedule payments to suppliers and creditors.
• Handle queries from suppliers and the purchasing department.
• Process payment runs and cheque preparation.
• Reconcile supplier statements; process company card transactions.
• Review travel expenses and input data using office systems.
• Support month-end and year-end reporting processes and monthly reports.
• Raise and issue customer invoices accurately and on time.
• Process customer payments and allocate cash receipts to accounts.
• Monitor overdue balances and resolve discrepancies.
