We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable process and ensuring timely payments to suppliers.

What You'll Be Doing...
Systems and AI; Seeking Opportunities
  • Monitor and analyse accounts payable processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy; seek opportunities with AI to drive the department forward.
  • Optimise the use of our newly implemented systems; streamline monthly payment cycle.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for future projects relating to AP and expenses.
Compliance
  • Develop and maintain accounts payable policies and procedures; ensure key business process procedures are thoroughly documented.
  • Ensure compliance with Group policies and internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with government legislations and ongoing reporting requirements.
  • Assist with audits, provide documentation and support as needed
Team & Stakeholder Management
  • Coach and develop accounts payable colleagues, including setting performance goals and offering growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Operations, OneWorld, IT and Marketing to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.
  • Manage vendor onboarding and relationships; resolve any issues or disputes related to payments or invoices
Reporting
  • Prepare and analyse accounts payable reports, including aging reports, cash flow projections & optimisation, and vendor performance metrics
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end close
  • Collaborate with Group and Financial Reporting to drive improvement in intercompany reporting.

  • Previous experience in accounts payable and small team management
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Experience with SAP
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Experience in process improvement and implementing best practices
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience in using AI in business environment would be advantageous
