Job description

This role is based at our 64-acre site, sitting in the heart of Sheffield. Our Finance department plays a crucial role in ensuring the organisation's financial health, operational efficiency and strategic growth. The role covers everything from day-to-day financial operations to long-term financial planning & analysis, including the delivery of our recapitalisation programme.

As an Accounts Officer you will manage the bank accounts within the group, maintain cash books, produce financial reports and undertake accounts receivable transactional duties.

What you’ll be doing
  • Monitor the organisation's cash positions to support payment requirements.
  • Reconcile cash books on a daily basis; perform daily bank reconciliations in the accounting system and reconcile General Ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain up-to-date banking mandates.
  • Perform drawdown / equity requests / paybacks, where applicable, to cover all payment requirements and ensure target balances are maintained.
  • Conduct regular and ad‑hoc financial analysis and reporting.
  • Raise sales invoices and credit notes.
  • Control credit, including chasing overdue invoices.

Experience working in a similar role.

Qualifications
  • AAT qualified desirable but not essential.
  • Intermediate level MS Excel skills.
  • Strong communicator.
  • Sales ledger experience.
  • Credit control experience desirable.

This is a full‑time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday. We offer flexibility in start and finish times between 06:15‑09:30 and 14:30‑18:00.
