Position Description & Key Responsibilities:

BAIUST solicits applications for the post of Accounts Officer under the Treasurer's Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and monitoring accounts receivable, including preparing student and other receivable schedules.
  • Overseeing daily collection activities, ensuring proper documentation and timely deposit of funds.
  • Preparing and performing bank reconciliation statements on a regular basis.
  • Assisting in the preparation of periodic and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable standards and university policies.
  • Ensuring proper Tax and VAT compliance, including withholding, filing, documentation, and liaison with relevant authorities.
  • Maintaining general ledger, journal entries, and month-end/ year-end closing.
  • Ensuring proper record keeping, documentation, and filing of financial information.
  • Assisting in internal and external audit processes by providing necessary schedules and explanations.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Treasurer or higher authority relevant to the role.
