An established accountancy firm with two offices in London is seeking a technically proficient and commercially astute Accounts Manager to join its expanding team. This is a full-time role offering a 90:10 split between accounts and audit, ideal for professionals looking to deepen their expertise across statutory reporting, financial oversight, and client advisory.
You’ll work directly with a Partner and Associate Director, managing a substantial and varied portfolio of clients. The role encompasses statutory accounts preparation under FRS 102, oversight of corporation tax compliance, and occasional audit assignments in line with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
Manage a portfolio of SME and group clients, ensuring timely delivery of statutory accounts and audit reports
Lead engagements involving outsourced finance functions, sell‑side due diligence, and corporate restructuring
Review and sign off accounts prepared using CCH Accounts Production and Corporation Tax software
Collaborate with internal tax and cloud accounting teams to ensure compliance with Companies Act and HMRC requirements
Supervise and mentor a team of qualified and part‑qualified staff, conducting performance reviews and technical training
Implement workflow improvements and contribute to practice‑wide process enhancements
Act as primary client contact for all matters relating to financial statements, audit queries, and tax computations
Prepare and review financial forecasts and business plans using advanced Excel modelling
ACA or ACCA qualified with a minimum of 5 years post‑qualification experience in practice
Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102 and ISAs
Proficient in CCH, Xero (including data extraction and journal adjustments), and Excel‑based forecasting
Demonstrated ability to manage complex assignments and anticipate client needs
Excellent communication skills and commercial awareness
