Confidential in Bradford is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to take full ownership of the day-to-day finance function. This stand-alone role requires a proactive individual capable of independent work and delivering accurate financial information.

The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of accounting, including payroll, ledgers, reconciliations and month‑end processes, while driving improvements across finance operations.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a complete accounts function.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting procedures.
• Experience with payroll administration.
• Excellent reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Own the accounts department and oversee daily finance operations.
• Manage purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control.
• Perform bank reconciliations, cash management and record keeping.
• Prepare payroll and process supplier payments.
• Handle month-end duties: journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Maintain financial controls and support business decisions.
• Continuously improving finance processes and efficiencies.
