An established construction company in Greater London is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to take on responsibilities such as managing sales invoicing, credit control, and payroll processes. The ideal candidate should have prior experience with CIS returns and be able to handle a variety of accounting duties, including VAT returns and financial reporting. This is a hands-on role that requires immediate or short notice availability.

• Oversee purchase ledger management.
• Verify new subcontractors and process CIS returns.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Collate staff expenses and process payroll.

Job description

A fantastic opportunity to join an established construction company who are looking for a new Accounts Manager to join them. This is a hands on role where the successful candidate will have sole responsible for a variety of duties including:

Responsibilities

• Sales invoicing & credit control
• Purchase ledger management
• CIS: verifying new subcontractors, signing off subcontractor invoices, CIS returns to HMRC, ensuring all subcontractor insurances are renewed
• VAT returns
• Payroll: collating staff expenses, overtime, Cycle to Work scheme, sickness/holiday, processing payroll & pension contributions, payroll journals
• Bank reconciliations
• General other duties: maintaining business insurance, motor fleet, utility bills/contracts
• Preparation of management accounts, attending board meetings, p11D preparation, corporation tax

Ideally you will have experience undertaking CIS returns. It would be great if you are available immediately or at short notice.
