Adecco are recruiting for a Ledger Assistant to join a busy finance team based in Newcastle-under-Lyme. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with potential to become permanent. The role involves Sales Ledger/Accounts Receivable and Purchase Ledger support, offering exposure to broad finance functions and a proactive team environment.

Ideal candidates will have AR/Sales Ledger experience, attention to detail, and solid Excel skills. Immediate start available; salary £28,000–£30,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Receivable/Sales Ledger is essential.
• Purchase Ledger experience would be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Allocating and processing customer payments.
• Raising and issuing customer invoices.
• Supporting credit control activities.
• Resolving account queries and investigating discrepancies.
• Raising credit notes as required.
• Reconciling supplier statements.
• Assisting the Purchase Ledger team with day-to-day tasks.
• Supporting month-end activities and general ledger administration.
• Providing additional administrative support across the finance function.
