Job summary

Silcom Recruitment is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our client based in Swindon. The ideal candidate will have prior accounts experience, with motor trade exposure encouraged but not essential.

The role involves supporting the accounts team with daily finance tasks, processing invoices, reconciliations, and basic month-end processes. A flexible, 40-hour week is on offer and Saturday work is not required.

Qualifications

• Previous accounts experience
• Experience with day to day finance duties
• Motor trade experience is encouraged but not essential

Responsibilities

• Supporting the accounts team with day to day finance duties.
• Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Processing bank statements and completing regular bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Carrying out credit control duties and following up on outstanding payments.
• Supporting month end processes and the preparation of management accounts.
• Assisting with journals, accruals and prepayments.
