Job summary

Autograph Recruitment is recruiting an Accounts & Audit Trainee for a well-established Chartered Accountants firm in Cardiff. The role offers ACA/ACCA study support and a clear path for progression in accounts and audit.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of UK accountancy practice experience, and be AAT qualified or planning ACA/ACCA studies. The role includes training, mentoring, and a modern Cardiff office environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year's experience within a UK accountancy practice.
• AAT qualified or currently studying towards ACA or ACCA, or looking to begin studies.
• Genuine interest in developing a career in both accounts and audit.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Experience with Xero, QuickBooks or similar software would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Supporting audit assignments both in the office and at client premises.
• Preparing bookkeeping records and VAT returns.
• Assisting with management accounts.
• Building relationships with clients and responding to day-to-day queries.
• Using cloud accounting software including Xero and QuickBooks.
• Studying towards ACA or ACCA with full study support provided.
