Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting Ltd. is seeking an Accounts and Audit Senior in Exeter to deliver external audits and prepare statutory accounts for a diverse client base.

The role combines audit and accounts work with a focus on building strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified (or near qualification), possess solid audit and accounts experience, and demonstrate excellent communication skills while managing multiple priorities with high technical standards.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearing qualification, with experience in an accountancy practice.
• Solid grounding in both audit and accounts preparation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage a varied workload while maintaining high technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering external audit assignments from initial planning through to completion
• Preparing statutory accounts for a broad portfolio of clients
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted point of contact
• Supporting, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior members of the team
• Working closely with Managers and Partners to deliver a high-quality service across both audit and accounts
