A global manufacturer and distributor is seeking a temporary Accounts Assistant for 4 weeks based in Kettering. You will manage purchase and sales ledgers, process invoices, and provide administrative support. The ideal candidate has experience in a finance support role and knowledge of QuickBooks. This position offers a welcoming environment with a competitive hourly rate and early finishes on Fridays.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts support preferred.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger duties.
  • Process invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain filing systems and financial records.
  • Answer incoming calls and take messages.
  • Provide general administrative support to the office team.

Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for a short-term opportunity in a supportive and friendly office environment? Our client — a leading global manufacturer and distributor— is seeking a motivated individual to provide 4 weeks of temporary cover within their small busy accounts team.

The Role

As an Accounts Assistant, you'll play a key role in keeping day-to-day finance operations running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger duties
  • Processing invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Maintaining filing systems and financial records
  • Answering incoming calls and taking messages
  • Providing general administrative support to a small, close-knit office team
About You

You'll bring a positive attitude and a keen eye for detail. Ideally, you'll have:

  • Previous experience in a similar accounts or finance support role
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks (or similar accounting software)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
