Job summary

Confidential is seeking an Accounts Assistant in Brentwood, Essex, to join a busy finance team on a temporary basis with a view to permanent employment. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, at a rate of £12.71 per hour.

The ideal candidate will have some accounts experience or be studying toward AAT, and show strong numerical and organisational skills to thrive in a fast-paced commercial environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounts, finance or office administration.
• AAT qualification or currently studying toward AAT is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Processing invoices, payments and purchase orders accurately.
• Reconciling bank statements and supplier accounts.
• Supporting month-end and year-end finance activities.
• Liaising with suppliers and external stakeholders to resolve queries.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assisting with credit control activities where required.
• Processing and allocating payments.
• Supporting the wider finance team with admin tasks.
• Responding to finance-related enquiries from colleagues and suppliers.
