Job summary

Butler Rose Ltd is assisting a well-established organisation in Taunton to recruit a Temporary Accounts Assistant for an initial 3-6 month period. The role requires strong transactional finance experience and the ability to start immediately or on short notice.

Responsibilities include end-to-end transactional finance tasks, supplier and customer ledger management, and assisting with regular financial reporting. The successful candidate must commute to Taunton and work full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Finance Assistant or Accounts role.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good working knowledge of Excel.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Available immediately or on short notice.
• Able to reliably commute to Taunton.

Temporary Accounts Assistant - Immediate Start

Location: Taunton
Contract: Temporary (initially 3-6 months)
Salary: £28,000-£32,000

We are currently partnering with a well-established organisation seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Temporary Accounts Assistant to support their busy finance team during a key period.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong transactional finance experience who is available at short notice and looking to gain exposure in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Manage supplier/customer accounts, reconciliations and ledger queries.
• Perform bank and company credit card reconciliations.
• Support credit control and chase outstanding customer debts.
• Prepare financial reports and support finance administration.

About You:
