  • Arrange hotel and travel bookings.
  • Respond to ad hoc queries.
  • Manage incoming post and scanning.

Job description

Axon Moore are delighted to be partnering with a growing and highly successful business that is actively expanding through acquisitions and is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and supportive finance team.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role will play a key part in the continued development of the group's finance function and wider operations team. The successful candidate will take ownership of key transactional finance processes and contribute to improving efficiency across the department.

The business prides itself on a flexible and supportive working culture, with a truly collaborative team environment and quarterly meet-ups in central Manchester to stay connected.

Location: Remote (Occasional travel to Manchester City Centre)

Salary: Circa £28,000

Main duties:
  • Managing the centralised accounts inbox
  • Processing purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Checking and approving employee expense claims
  • Ensuring compliance with internal financial policies
  • Maintaining purchase ledgers across the group
  • Performing daily bank reconciliations
  • Arranging hotel and travel bookings for the wider group
  • Responding to ad hoc queries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Managing incoming post and scanning to relevant individuals
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc administrative and finance-related tasks
Candidate specification:
  • AAT qualification is an advantage but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
  • Experience within a similar role, minimum 3 years
  • Confident communicator at all levels - from junior staff to directors and external suppliers
  • Proactive with a strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
