Job summary

Immediate Transportation Co in Camberley is seeking an Accounts Assistant to support both sales and purchase ledgers, ensuring customer accounts are accurate and up to date. You will work with the Finance Manager and support team to keep cash, invoices, and ledgers reconciled.

The role requires Sage experience, strong Excel skills, and a detail-focused mindset. Logistics or freight exposure is preferred, with an AAT qualification or active study in progress.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales ledger or all-round finance role.
• Experience using Sage or equivalent accounting software.
• Strong Excel skills for reconciliations and reporting, including pivot tables.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience in logistics, freight or supply chain.
• AAT qualified or studying towards it.

Responsibilities

• Allocate customer receipts daily and resolve unallocated cash.
• Set up and maintain customer accounts in Sage.
• Maintain customer details across Sage and Freight ERP.
• Review aged debtors and chase missing information.
• Raise sales invoices and send monthly statements.
• Update the cashbook and support bank reconciliations.
• Support purchase ledger tasks including Courier Exchange and SmartPay reconciliation.
• Post monthly credit card expenses and perform intercompany reconciliations.
• Import daily transactions from Freight ERP into Sage.
