Job summary

Lloyd's is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join the International Finance team in Chatham. You will support financial accounting and reporting across international entities, helping deliver accurate information for decision-making across the organisation.

The role involves close collaboration with Financial Reporting, FP&A, Regulatory Reporting and Audit teams, with opportunities to gain broad exposure to UK GAAP/IFRS and statutory accounting.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting accounting, financial reporting or management accounting activities.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive problem solving.
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience with Excel and finance systems such as Workday, SAP or Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and processing of financial accounting activities within the general ledger.
• Assist with monthly close and consolidation activities across international offices and entities.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and help maintain a strong financial control environment.
• Support the preparation of half-year and annual financial reporting.
• Work with colleagues across Financial Reporting, FP&A, Regulatory Reporting, Investment Reporting and Financial Operations.
• Build relationships with international stakeholders and help ensure financial information is accurate and delivered on time.
