Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group in Belfast is seeking an Accounts Assistant to support monthly management accounts, P&L, and balance sheet preparation. You will help ensure accurate sales records, manage cash handling, and oversee accounts payable/receivable processes with attention to internal controls.

The successful candidate will have accounting experience, ideally in hospitality, and be either qualified or part-qualified.

Qualifications

• Ambitious, confident and professional individual with strong communication, organisational and analytical skills.
• Accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, food & beverage environment or within the retail sector.
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including the Profit and Loss account and Balance Sheet.
• Ensure sales are accurately recorded and establish a robust system to identify issues; prepare daily KPI sales report for distribution to departments.
• Manage cash and banking functions, maintain daily income audit, monitor cash handling, train staff as needed, oversee petty cash.
