Job summary

Confidential in Kingswinford is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team. You will support transactional accounting, reconciliations, and admin across multiple entities, helping with month-end reporting and improving processes.

The ideal candidate will have experience in finance or accounts, ideally AAT qualified or studying, with knowledge of purchase ledgers, VAT, and Excel, and you will enjoy a stable, permanent role with opportunities to develop your accounting career.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance or accounts environment with understanding of accounting principles.
• AAT qualification or currently studying towards AAT.
• Knowledge of purchase ledger processes, reconciliations and transactions.
• Understanding of debits, credits and basic double-entry bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with VAT on routine transactions.

Responsibilities

• Support project accounting activities and month-end reporting.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Process purchase invoices with correct coding and VAT treatment.
• Maintain supplier accounts and general ledger records.
• Assist with financial reporting and process improvements.
