A local government authority in the United Kingdom is seeking an Accounts Assistant to oversee financial accounting and reporting. The successful candidate will assist in budget preparation, track income, and ensure the accuracy of transactions. Salary: Grade 4 (£25,989 to £28,142)

This post will work closely with the Accountant and Finance Business Partner to oversee CCR's financial accounting, reporting and internal control environment, ensuring that all inputs to the General Ledger via its feeder systems are accurate, timely and robust. Supporting the wider finance team, key internal and external stakeholders with all accounting and reporting requirements. This is not your average Accountant role; each day is different here. You will be skilled at communicating with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
An experienced Accounts Assistant with a track record of operating in a public or private organisation, supporting the smooth running of all day‑to‑day financial systems and processes. You'll be an effective, proactive, and committed member of a small but busy Finance Team in a new and growing organisation, providing the successful postholders with the opportunity to shape both their roles and the wider finance function.
