Confidential, Wirral, is seeking an Accounts Assistant to support a growing client base in a modern practice. You will maintain bookkeeping, process transactions, and assist with VAT returns, year-end prep, and management accounts in a collaborative team.

Qualificações

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice environment.
• Experience with bookkeeping and VAT returns.
• Familiarity with software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.
• AAT qualification or studying towards qualification would be advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records for a range of SME clients.
• Processing financial transactions and reconciling bank accounts.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts.
• Supporting the production of management accounts.
• Managing client information using cloud-based accounting software.
• Liaising with clients to obtain financial records and resolve queries.
• Assisting senior team members with ad hoc accounting assignments.
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and within deadlines.

A successful and expanding accountancy practice based on the Wirral is looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to support its growing client base.

This position offers the chance to work with a wide variety of owner-managed businesses, gaining exposure to bookkeeping, VAT, accounts preparation and client management within a collaborative and professional team environment.

• Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records for a range of SME clients
