Orka Financial is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their client’s growing team based in Wokingham. The role is responsible for providing accurate day‑to‑day finance support.

The successful candidate will oversee transaction processing, bank reconciliations and support the preparation of year‑end accounts with external accountants.

The Accounts Assistant position involves regular communication with clients, so strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate books including invoicing, receipts and payment processing.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations across multiple accounts.
  • Monitor outstanding balances and follow internal procedures for collection.
  • Prepare and issue statements of account.
  • Assist with month‑end and year‑end reporting.
  • Support external accountants with year‑end accounts and queries.
  • Use accounting and management software systems confidently (training provided).
  • Respond to telephone and e‑mail queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal processes and controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve bookkeeping processes and efficiency.
  • Contribute to a positive, organised and business‑focused team environment.
