About the Role
SR Legacy Consultancy Firm is seeking a meticulous and proactive Accounts Assistant to support its Australian partner, Legacy Accounting. The position offers a unique opportunity for candidates in Bangladesh to contribute to international financial operations, tax compliance, and client administration. Key Responsibilities
Taxation & Compliance
- Assist in preparing individual, business, and trust tax returns under Australian tax law.
- Support BAS, PAYG, GST, and other ATO compliance reporting.
- Maintain accurate documentation for audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
Financial Reporting
- Compile and analyze financial data for various entity types.
- Draft financial statements including balance sheets and profit & loss reports.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end reporting processes.
Client Administration
- Prepare engagement letters, fee estimates, and service agreements.
- Develop onboarding materials tailored to client profiles.
- Maintain and update client records with precision and confidentiality.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Reconcile bank accounts and client ledgers.
- Monitor receivables and assist in follow-up communications.
Communication & Documentation
- Draft professional correspondence and client reminders.
- Respond to client inquiries with clarity and professionalism.
- Maintain supplier and client databases.
Confidentiality & Data Security
- Handle sensitive financial data with discretion.
- Adhere to strict data privacy protocols and internal policies.
- Ensure secure storage and transmission of client documents.
Research & Technical Memos
- Conduct research on Australian tax law and accounting standards.
- Prepare internal memos and client-facing summaries.
- Support technical documentation and advisory notes.
Marketing & Website Support
- Assist in updating website content and blog posts.
- Help prepare newsletters, email campaigns, and social media updates.
- Coordinate basic design tasks and ensure brand consistency.
Systems & Tools
- Utilize accounting platforms such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.
- Maintain digital filing systems and ensure secure document handling.
- Collaborate using Microsoft 365, Zoom, and other remote tools.
