Position: Accounts Assistant
Location: Lancaster

Are you detail-oriented, organised, and looking to grow your career in finance? We're currently seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Accounts Assistant to join our clients finance team and support day-to-day accounting operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for numbers and a desire to gain hands-on experience in a busy finance department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Processing purchase and sales invoices
  • Reconciling supplier statements and bank accounts
  • Assisting with month-end duties and journal entries
  • Managing petty cash and staff expenses
  • Supporting credit control and chasing overdue payments
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Assisting the wider finance team as needed
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in a similar finance or accounts role (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Studying towards AAT or other finance qualifications (desirable but not essential)
