Qualifications

Im currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team of a well-established, family-run business based in Stokesley. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid accounts experience who is looking to develop their skills in a varied and hands-on role.

Working within a friendly, collaborative office environment, youll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage purchase ledger, including invoice processing and supplier payments
  • Perform statement reconciliations and manage cash control
  • Conduct debtor reviews and analysis
  • Process direct debits and reconcile credit card transactions
  • Support credit control activities
  • Reconcile data between software systems
  • Carry out general office and administrative duties
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues across the wider business
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers
Skills & Experience
  • Self-motivated, organised, and proactive with a positive attitude
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Comfortable handling difficult conversations when needed
  • Previous experience within an accounts or finance department is essential
  • Good IT skills knowledge of Xero and Excel would be an advantage
  • Ideally studying towards or holding AAT Level 2 or 3 (not essential)
