A leading recruitment firm is seeking an Accounts Assistant for a 9-month FTC in Sunderland. This role involves processing invoices, journal entries, and assisting in various accounting tasks. Job description

KCR Solutions are delighted to be supporting this fantastic client in their search for an Accounts Assistant. This is a 9 month FTC to start asap. You will be reporting into the Management Accountant, working within a small finance team, you will be responsible for the processing of invoices as well as journal entries and accounting analysis. Sector: Manufacturing.

Your Responsibilities :-
  • Responsible for processing of invoices as well as journal entries and accounting analysis.
  • Completion and analysis of the daily sales report
  • Assist in the completion of the month end accounting pack
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual audit pack
  • Input of journal entries and reconciliations
  • Assist in all budget and business plan submissions
  • Assist in the creation of new parts to verify BOMs and costs.
  • Complete the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
  • Ensure a safe working environment and excellent housekeeping standards
  • Other duties commensurate to the role
The client is looking for someone with:-

It would be beneficial for the candidate to have:-
  • A sound understanding and working knowledge of SAP
  • Working knowledge of UK regulatory standards, including IFRS and Sarbanes-Oxley
  • AAT qualification
  • A high level of experience and knowledge of basic accounting
  • Experience of a similar role within manufacturing
