Accounts Assistant

Your Mission

Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will support the Finance Department in delivering accurate and timely reports, invoices and accounts.

What You Will Do
  • Credit Control
  • Accounts Payable
  • Maintaining all aspects of the sales and purchase ledger
  • General Ledger Journal Entries, as required
  • Daily Filing/Archiving
  • Maintain records to meet legal and tax requirements
  • Maintain and create accurate and detailed customer and vendor records
  • Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in person
  • Assist with month‑end processing
  • Assist in the production and preparation of documentary evidence for annual audits
  • Administrative duties and cover for other roles within the department as appropriate
What We Expect From You
  • Computer literate with general knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experienced Excel user
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to function well within a team
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Self‑motivated and a team player
  • No specific qualification required, but AAT qualification is beneficial.

What You Can Expect From Puratos
  • £25.4 -30k per annum dependent on experience and qualifications.
  • 5% bonus scheme.
  • Core hours will be 40 hours per week Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00.
  • Hybrid working available (maximum of two days working from home per week).
  • 22 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
