Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join a busy finance team within a well-established engineering and manufacturing business in Sheffield. You will work with the Head of Finance on day-to-day finance tasks and have opportunities to get involved in payroll and process improvements as you grow.

You will be joining a small, supportive team and will handle supplier invoices, payments, reconciliations and ad-hoc tasks in a varied role. Salary is £25,500–£28,000 per year DOE.

The Best Connection is recruiting for one of our client engineering companies based in Sheffield.

We are looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Assistant Accountant to join a busy finance team within a well‑established engineering and manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their accounting career in a varied role where no two days are the same.

Working alongside the Head of Finance in a small, supportive finance department, you’ll play a key role in managing the day‑to‑day financial operations while also having the opportunity to get involved in payroll and finance improvement projects as your experience grows.

Hours

38‑hour working week

• Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
• Friday: 8:30am – 3:45pm

Salary

£25,500 – £28,000 per annum, depending on experience.
