Sharp Consultancy are working with an established business based in Sheffield that are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.

This business has been has seen steady growth over the last 10 years and they predict that growth to continue in the upcoming years.

The ideal candidate will join a friendly finance team, where you will support the Management Accountant in day-to-day finance activities.

Key responsibilities in this role:

• Process invoices, payments and supplier statements

• Assist in managing accounts receivable and Credit Control

• Assist with bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring

• Support with VAT preparation

• Accurately input financial transactions

• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts

• Work closely with the wider finance team to improve finance processes

Skills and experience required:

• Experience working within a similar role

• Good attention to detail

• Proactive attitude to work

• Good communication skills both written and verbal

• Experience with Xero accounting software (preferred but not essential)
