Accounts Assistant

£22,000 - £24,000 pa depending on age & experience. Romford

Our client is a rapidly expanding and successful motor dealership group, operating across London and the Home Counties with 32 showrooms, across 7 brands, having a turnover in excess of £500M and over 700 staff. They now seek an Accounts Clerk to join a very busy finance team in their Head Office. This is a fantastic career development opportunity!

Reporting to the Sales Ledger Manager, your duties will include:

  1. Prepare and manage daily banking using Excel to code and allocate receipts.
  2. Chase General Sales Ledger debts.
  3. Allocate Sales Ledger payments using remittance advices supplied by customers.
  4. Perform general ad-hoc duties as required by the Sales Ledger Manager.

Experience Required

  1. AAT studies would be preferred.
  2. Excellent communication skills.
  3. Strong numerical, communication, and writing skills.
  4. Team player with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  5. The role would suit an ambitious self-starter willing to work hard to develop a career in accounts, or an older person looking to return to the workforce.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5 pm
