A local accounting firm in North East England is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to manage multiple client accounts and provide outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate should be familiar with cloud-based accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage. Pay: Starting from £27,500.00 per year
Accounts Assistant Description: Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant working within our Alnwick office on a full-time basis. The position requires an experienced Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant, ideally from an accountancy firm background, but not essential if you can demonstrate your ability to manage multiple client accounts. With both new and existing clients, we are seeking someone who can provide a first-class customer service and personal approach, all while managing deadlines.
The successful candidate will have had exposure to cloud-based systems such as QuickBooks, Xero and Sage and be able to adapt to your clients different packages.
This is a great opportunity to work with a varied number of SME businesses making your role more interesting as you learn more about their businesses and develop close working relationships.
The role will include some accounts preparation and managing Making Tax Digital. This is not a training role and requires previous experience. The office has a friendly environment, and your colleagues will support you as you work towards learning all aspects of the job. AAT qualified would be desired but practical experience is as valuable.
