Career Development

This position will work closely with accounts payable, management account production and balance sheet control. We are always keen to promote from within the company where possible and suitable.

Person Profile

We are looking for a finance professional who is at the start of their career, ideally either a graduate who has completed a placement year in a relevant field or someone with around a year of practical accounting experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience while continuing your professional development and working towards qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.

You should have some practical experience in accounting or finance, including exposure to financial systems and basic understanding of expense processing or accounts payable. A basic knowledge of double entry bookkeeping and reconciliations is essential.

The ideal candidate is organised, reliable, and motivated to learn. You should be able to manage your time effectively, work independently when needed, and have a genuine interest in developing your skills in financial control and process improvement. Strong spreadsheet skills are preferred, though basic formula and formatting skills are essential, along with a willingness to contribute to the smooth running of the finance team.

We are looking for someone conscientious and professional, who takes pride in accuracy, can maintain confidentiality, and is keen to deliver excellent support to both colleagues and stakeholders. If you are eager to grow in a collaborative environment and see yourself as an integral part of a busy finance team, this role could be the perfect next step.
