Job summary

Predicting the Future of Betting is seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join the Finance team. You will report to the Senior Finance Manager and work in a small, focused team to analyse data and communicate insights.

The role requires accuracy, Excel proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment. Prior public practice experience is valued, with opportunities to develop within a growing tech-led betting business.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Excel with strong numerical accuracy.
  • Attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • 1+ years of public practice experience.
  • Experience with Light Inc. accounting software is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process AP invoices.
  • Review and reconcile bank statements regularly.
  • Perform AP balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Review and manage open Purchase Orders.
  • Ensure supplier accounts are reconciled against statements.
  • Schedule and process payments per company policy.
  • Manage vendor payment queries.
  • Process staff expenses and approvals.
  • Monitor daily cash flows for operations.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports to regulated gaming authorities.
  • Support monthly Management Accounts and journal entries.
  • Assist with financial audits.

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our growing Finance team. Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be an integral part of a small team of four. To thrive at the company, you will need to be open-minded, personable, and have a keen eye for detail, with the ability to analyze and communicate insights from data.

What you will do
  • Prepare and process AP invoices
  • Review and reconcile bank statements on a regular basis to ensure accuracy
  • Perform AP balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Review and manage open Purchase Orders
  • Ensure all supplier accounts are reconciled against supplier statements
  • Schedule and process payments per company policy

  • Provide weekly and monthly reports to regulated gaming authorities, ensuring compliance with regulations

  • Good communication skills
  • 1+ years of public practice experience
  • Experience with Light Inc. accounting software is desirable
  • Experience with working with auditors - desirable but not essential
  • Part-qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) - desirable but not essential
  • Degree in Accounting or related business field - desirable but not essential
  • Have worked or are curious to work in an agile, start-up like environment
  • Have experience or are keen to work in a multi-disciplinary team/across different teams
