Accounts Assistant (Accounts Payable)

Location: Gloucester (Ruroc HQ)

Type: Full time or Part time

Salary: £28,000 - £31,000 (pro-rata for part time)

Working Pattern: 4 days in-office with the option of 1 day working from home (full time)

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant (AP) to join our Finance Team. Reporting to the Management Accountant, you’ll support day-to-day finance operations, focusing on accounts payable and reconciliation tasks. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role where your attention to detail, and technical skills will make a real impact. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their finance career who thrives in a dynamic environment.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Process invoices and credit notes, ensuring accurate coding in the system
  • Reconcile supplier statements and maintain strong supplier relationships
  • Handle internal and external finance queries professionally
  • Perform bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
  • Investigate discrepancies and ensure resolution
  • Reconcile company credit card transactions and analyse monthly spend
  • Support month‑end processes and assist with ad‑hoc finance tasks
  • Carry out general finance administrative duties
What you’ll bring:
