Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant for a full-time permanent position in Hixon, Staffordshire. Job description

We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join our client, a UK leading manufacturer within their HQ located in Hixon, Staffordshire. This is a full time permanent role from day one.

Accounts Assistant key job details:
  • Monday to Thursday, 07:30 to 17:00
  • 4 day week, every week
  • Salary: GBP24,500 p/annum
  • Permanent job
Accounts Assistant key duties:
  • Maintain accurate and up–to–date financial records using accounting software, as well as Excel
  • Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
  • Conduct bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial reporting and support for decision–making processes.
  • Sales order and Purchase order processing and management
Accounts Assistant person specification:
  • Previous experience Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper, or Accounts Clerk role is required
  • Experience in using accounting software and be a competent user of Excel
  • Familiarity with financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and account analysis
  • Ability to write clear financial reports that effectively communicate complex information to stakeholders
  • Have your own transport due to location of work
