Job summary

MHA in Kendal is seeking an Accounts Junior apprentice ready to learn by doing. You’ll gain hands-on experience across accounts preparation, assisting with client work, and studying toward a professional qualification while being mentored by experienced accountants.

This role is designed to develop commercially minded professionals who can handle real projects, work from source documents to final accounts, and contribute to wider advisory tasks as you progress.

Qualifications

• Entry requirements include at least 112 UCAS points from top three subjects (or equivalent).
• Ambition to learn, contribute and develop professionally within accounting.
• Willingness to study towards a professional qualification with mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Accounts preparation assignments and client work under supervision.
• Mentor-guided work on a wide range of client accounts.
• Work from source documents to final accounts.
• Support corporation tax computations and other compliance tasks.
• Gather technical information from clients as appropriate.
• Study towards professional qualification (AAT Level 3, 4 and ACA Level 7).
