We are now recruiting a full-time Admin and Accounts Assistant to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a supportive, innovative, and forward-thinking organisation.

About the Role

The successful candidate should have 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the engineering sector. Further and ongoing training and advancement will be provided as part of the company’s personnel development programme.

The Accounts and Administration Assistant will provide essential support to our finance and operations teams, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions and administrative tasks. The successful candidate will work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the smooth running of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Processing and posting sales and purchase invoices
  • Managing statements, debtors, and creditors
  • Handling telephone and account queries (incoming and outgoing)
  • Purchase order and procurement processing
  • Responding to accounts payable/receivable queries
  • Managing incoming company calls
  • Supporting ad hoc finance administration and reporting tasks
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of finance and administrative processes
Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 5 GCSE’S including Maths and English
  • NVQ Level 2–3 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
  • 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably within the engineering sector)
  • Experience with Sage 200
  • Proficiency in Excel and confident in financial data processing
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail with strong numerical accuracy
Desirable Experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central (Dynamics)
