Job summary

SRLV in London’s West End invites applications for its four-year ACA Trainee programme. You’ll gain hands-on bookkeeping and accounting for a diverse client portfolio while studying for ACA with structured on-the-job training and external tuition support.

Programme features include full ACA study support, paid study leave, a clear progression from Assistant to Senior, hybrid working after probation, and regular social and wellbeing benefits as you develop technical, professional and personal

Qualifications

• A 2:1 degree in an accounting-related course from a top university.
• Achieved or on course to achieve at least 112 UCAS points from at least 3 A-Levels.
• GCSE Maths and English Language grade 6 or above.
• Can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
• Excellent organisation skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Natural team player and able to work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting for a portfolio of clients.
• Undertake ACA studies.
• Assist with handling financial and personal affairs of portfolios.
• Receive on-the-job training alongside ACA syllabus.
• Spend around 10 weeks a year studying towards the ACA with external tutors.
• Daily support to the Creative & Accounts Team on their portfolios, together with ad-hoc work.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE PROGRAMME

• You will have achieved, or be on course to achieve, at least a 2:1 degree in an Accounting related course from a top university.
• You will have previously achieved 112 UCAS points (equivalent to 280 UCAS points under pre-2017 tariff) from at least 3 A-Levels or equivalent (excluding General Studies)
• You will have Grade 6 or above in GCSE Maths and English Language or equivalent
• A ‘can do’ attitude
• A desire and willingness to learn
• Excellent organisation skills with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• A natural team player in addition to the ability to work on your own initiative

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

As an ACA Trainee at SRLV, you will work within our hugely personable, supportive and experienced Creative & Accounts team, completing assignments for a variety of clients, from large groups to smaller owner-managed businesses. The industries we specialise in means we work with some exciting clients!

As a member of the Creative & Accounts graduate intake, you will benefit from a varied and challenging development journey where you will:

• Assisting with handling aspects of the portfolio’s financial and personal affairs
• Receive a wealth of on-the-job training alongside your ACA syllabus of learning
