Job summary

VWFS is offering an undergraduate Accounting Controls placement in Milton Keynes within the Finance team. You will learn balance sheet reconciliations, month-end activity and financial reporting, contributing to real business outcomes during a 12-13 month FTC with hybrid working.

You'll work with colleagues across Finance, IT and Customer Operations, develop Excel and data analysis skills, and gain hands-on experience with financial systems and controls while supporting investigations and

Qualifications

• Finance, Accounting or Business degree in progress.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of how financial data supports decisions.
• Intermediate Excel and MS Office.
• Attention to detail and methodical approach.
• Clear written and verbal communication with Finance and non-Finance colleagues.
• Flexible, self-motivated and able to meet deadlines.
• Team player with stakeholder relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and provide clear summaries for management review.
• Support month-end tasks, analysis and reporting in line with the month-end timetable.
• Investigate balances and reconciling items across product portfolios and accounting systems.
• Work with colleagues across Finance, IT and Customer Operations to understand processes and resolve queries.
• Support UAT, process improvements, controls testing and documentation updates.
• Produce operational and management information for different audiences.
