Job description

An exceptional opportunity awaits for an experienced Accounting Advisory Manager to join a rapidly expanding team in London, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients with specialist accounting advice. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on simplifying complex challenges, collaborating across disciplines, and making a tangible impact on client outcomes.

As part of one of the UK's fastest-growing accountancy firms, you will be empowered to shape solutions that matter, work alongside knowledgeable professionals, and enjoy a flexible hybrid working model. The organisation is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace where your growth and well-being are prioritised through generous benefits, comprehensive training opportunities, and a culture that values every individual.

What you'll do
  • Deliver high‑quality specialist accounting advice to clients across various sectors, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and proactively throughout the year.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including Transaction Services, Tax, Valuations, and Corporate Finance to provide holistic solutions for clients' most challenging issues.
  • Lead support the delivery of projects focused on technical accounting matters such as revenue recognition, financial instruments, share‑based payments, tax accounting, and more.
  • Assess the impact of new and recently adopted accounting standards (including IFRS 9, IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IFRS 17) on client operations and provide clear guidance on implementation.
  • Support transaction teams with GAAP conversions and M&A activities by analysing IFRS 3 implications, group reorganisations, and private equity transactions.
  • Prepare complex consolidation models and cashflow forecasts involving multi‑entity or multi‑currency scenarios as well as acquisitions within reporting periods.
  • Assist clients in preparing front‑end narrative reporting and financial statement disclosures that meet regulatory requirements and best practice standards.
  • Develop and deliver tailored accounting training sessions for clients to enhance their understanding of evolving standards and practices.
  • Follow internal procedures meticulously while providing technical advice to ensure consistently high‑quality outputs for engagement lead review.
  • Contribute actively to business development by preparing proposals for new work, identifying opportunities with existing clients, and enhancing the internal brand through networking.
What you bring
  • Hold a recognised accountancy qualification such as ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent with strong technical knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP and the UK Companies Act.
  • Demonstrate substantial experience in technical accounting roles, ideally with an external audit background, and up‑to‑date knowledge of recent developments including IFRS 9, 15, and 16.
  • Showcase proven ability in developing positive client relationships by delivering proactive service that exceeds expectations across all touchpoints.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills with the capacity to articulate complex technical concepts clearly in both reports and presentations.
  • Display a problem‑solving mindset with evidence of applying accounting principles effectively in unusual or one‑off situations requiring sound judgement.
  • Experience leading or supporting project delivery within cross‑functional teams involving Transaction Services or similar disciplines is highly desirable.
  • Ability to prepare advanced consolidation models or cashflow forecasts involving multi‑entity/multi‑currency environments is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP or sector specialisms would be beneficial but not essential for success in this position.
  • Experience working with listed companies or large corporates is desirable but not mandatory; exposure to private equity transactions is also valued.
  • Demonstrated capability in supervising or mentoring junior colleagues through regular feedback sessions contributes positively to team development.
