Job description

As a Treasury Accountant, you’ll be responsible for managing the daily cash and liquidity position, as well as identifying, monitoring, and managing foreign exchange risk. You’ll also support the energy risk management process. Reporting to the Group Treasury Manager, you’ll prepare daily reports and provide insights for senior management on performance and risk positions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and forecast cash flow and liquidity for the business.
  • Provide input and support for the strategy and management of funding arrangements.
  • Monitor and manage market risks, including foreign exchange, commodity, and interest rate risks. This will involve dealing with banks, initiating and managing hedging contracts, and executing money market trades.
  • Participate in projects to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Treasury function, including system development.

For this role, you’ll ideally have:

  • A relevant professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Experience in a corporate or financial services treasury function — such as a lender, treasury accountant, or treasury risk/consulting role.
  • A sound understanding of financial markets, derivative instruments, and valuations.
  • Strong Excel skills, including data manipulation and analysis.
  • The ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams and levels.
