Vital Energi is seeking an Accountant to join its award-winning Finance team. You will own the full monthly close for multiple subsidiaries, prepare journals, and ensure accurate financial output while supporting VAT/CIS compliance and budgeting processes.

The role emphasizes technical excellence, efficiency improvements, and mentoring junior finance colleagues within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Analytical Accountant with strong technical standards and ability to drive efficiency in monthly close.
• Experience with complex journals and balance sheet accounts.
• Familiarity with VAT & CIS compliance and HMRC regulations.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete monthly close process for subsidiary companies.
• Prepare complex monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Provide financial control support to purchase/sales/subcontract ledgers.
• Support VAT and CIS returns and HMRC compliance.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Collaborate on process improvements and automation in finance.
