Job description

An independent accountancy firm in Derby are offering an exceptional and rare job opportunity in this quick-growing practice, with them seeking to hire the right person to run the firm and client base. There is full support and backing from Directors as you lead and grow this firm.

This position will be salaried, but they are open to discussing package in-terms of profit share or a level of equity.

• This firm has a marketing system creating a strong lead flow and traffic of work opportunities, so they can scale it up quickly. The key is securing the right person who wants to run this in a leadership position, rather than be hands‑on themselves, as you can use the current junior staff initially to produce the work and then look to build a team underneath you.
• Growth could be quick, based on lead flow, with the firm typically securing 10 to 15 clients per month using their current client generation efforts.
• An exciting opportunity, the job would involve pricing conversations, branding, process management / process design meaning a real opportunity to run a practice, without investing your own capital. The new business would probably use Xero, but you could play a role in choosing the right software and systems for this practice.

The job can work on a hybrid basis, but early on, it would be important to spend some time in the office of course to get acquainted, with flexible working hours on offer and a real chance to get some ownership, with profit share options / equity open for discussion.

In terms of developing this firm, the costs can be kept very sensible, because there is already a marketing budget and shared space for rent, so fixed costs are low and they don’t have to recharge anything between the businesses, so this role can offer a strong salary immediately.
