Job summary

SI Recruitment Limited are helping an international manufacturing group with a 9‑month ERP migration, seeking a hands-on GL accountant to keep finance operations running smoothly.

You will support general ledger, reconciliations, fixed assets and customer accounting, collaborating with the local finance team, shared service centre and project team to bring structure and accuracy during the transition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years' experience in general ledger accounting and month-end close.
• Experience with fixed assets and customer accounting is an asset.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems; SAP preferred.
• Able to work independently and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices, GL entries, and other general ledger documents.
• Support month-end close, including accruals and clearing.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain fixed asset records and monitor depreciation.
• Follow up on customer deductions, rebates, and expense transactions.
• Support testing and document follow-ups during ERP migration.

The role

In this position, you will help keep finance operations running smoothly during an ERP migration. This is a varied, hands‑on project where your accounting expertise will make an immediate difference. Working closely with the local finance team, the shared service centre and the project team, you will bring structure, accuracy and continuity to day‑to‑day accounting. Your focus will be general ledger accounting, reconciliations, fixed assets and customer accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices, accounting documents, customer debit and credit notes, and other general ledger entries
• Support month‑end close, including accruals and clearing activities
• Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain fixed asset records and monitor capital expenditure, capitalisation and depreciation
• Follow up on customer deductions, rebate settlements, blocked orders and employee expense transactions
• Support transaction testing, identify process issues and document follow‑up actions during the integration

About you

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience
• 3 to 5 years' experience in general ledger accounting, reconciliations and month‑end close
• Experience with fixed assets, customer accounting or payroll‑related accounting is an asset
• Comfortable with Excel and ERP systems, SAP preferable
• Structured, hands‑on and able to work independently while collaborating with different stakeholders
• Drive and motivation, which will make all the difference
